As a kid, they dubbed me "peixinho" (aka the little fish) for my tendency to venture beyond familiar waters. Always seeking the extraordinary in the ordinary, I dive deep into the stories I tell and the subjects I portray, drawing from my formal background in Anthropology. With a freewheeling blend of fiction and documentary, I thrive on capturing their essence with utmost joy and beauty, be it in a commercial, a music video, or a short film.

I learned to be a director by doing everything else first—starting as a one-woman band, producing, filming, directing, and editing short moving portraits of people and their places in NYC. Until my practice expanded to more and bigger commissions from clients that include WSJ, NYTimes, NOWNESS, Vogue, and brands like YSL, Valentino, and Tommy Hilfiger.

Being on set is where I find my flow state. Life is what happens while you're busy making films about it. Let’s collaborate!
